Fresh Caught

Fresh Caught is a Maine lobster still life at its most honest — the vivid red-orange of a justcooked lobster alongside a glass of white wine, painted with the kind of conviction that comes from actually living at the source. Molly Frantzen built this composition in her Maine studio around bold, unapologetic color: the lobster earns the wall on its own, and the wine earns its place beside it. The piece reads well at close range and across the room, pulling double duty in a dining room, a kitchen, or a beach house living area where something coastal and alive belongs.
