Lake Aziscohos

Lake Aziscohos is one of Maine’s most remote bodies of water — a glacial lake in the western highlands where the loons outnumber the motorboats and the shoreline has barely changed in a century. The largest canvas in the collection at 24 × 36”, this original acrylic was painted in Molly Frantzen’s Maine studio to hold the scale and silence of a place that demands a painting that earns its footprint.
