Pink Abstract

Pink Abstract was a departure from Molly Frantzen’s representational work — pure color and movement, built in deep pinks and rose from a base of expressive, layered brushwork that gave the surface depth without giving it a subject. Painted in her Maine studio, the composition earned its wall through presence rather than narrative: it worked because of what it felt like, not because of what it depicted. The palette was bold without being difficult, warm without being sweet — the kind of abstract that holds its ground in a room without overwhelming it.
